Button

The Button attribute is meant to help you activate automations straight from an item just by clicking it.

In order to use this attribute, you’ll first need to build an automation using the Button trigger, then connect it to the Button attribute once you add it to your item.

Here’s how it works:

  • Click on the Automations button and then on ‘Create Automation’.
  • Name your automation and then click on ‘Add a Trigger’.
  • From the drop-down menu, choose the trigger ‘Button’.

  • Next, click on ‘Add an Action’ and then pick one of the available actions. Once you’re done, click ‘Save Automation’.

In the ‘Manage’ section, you’ll be able to see your new automation.

Adding the Button attribute to your items functions the same as adding any other attribute. Click on ‘Add an Attribute’ in your item (or ‘Add Column’ if you’re in the Table view), and then select ‘Button’ from the list.

Give your new attribute a name and then choose the automation you created with the Button trigger (you can have one or more of them on the list, but you can select only one).

You’ll also need to give your Button a name, e.g. ‘Activate’ or ‘Start Automation’, and choose the color of the button. When done, click on ‘Save’.

The button will now appear on all of your items.
